Job summary

Legent Health in Tomball, TX is seeking a Med-Surg RN to provide compassionate care for adult patients before and after surgery, and to support medical management across a broad range of conditions. The ideal candidate holds an active Texas nursing license, has Med-Surg experience or is a new grad, and maintains CPR and ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license in good standing with State licensing board.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and individualized nursing care to adult patients before and after surgical procedures.
• Attend to patients treated with pharmaceuticals to manage illness as needed.
• Consult with health care team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
• Administer prescribed medications and document administration.
• Educate patients and families on procedures and home care needs.
• Record patient information and vital signs accurately.
• Monitor equipment and respond to life-saving situations according to standards.
