Job summary

Legent Health is seeking an RN for Preoperative, PACU, and PAT roles in Tomball, TX. The RN will manage pre-admission testing, intraoperative assessments, and post-anesthesia care, guiding patients through recovery and coordinating with surgical teams.

Competent in IV initiation, vital sign monitoring, and post-operative care planning. Requires BLS/ACLS/PALS and a valid Texas nursing license, with 2–3 years in critical care nursing.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current and active BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications.
• Current and valid nursing license, in good standing with the State licensing board.
• 2-3 Years’ experience as a in critical care nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee intake and pre-admission testing, including initial physical assessment and medical history collection.
• Perform tests ordered by surgeon (e.g., EKG) and draw blood for labs as needed.
• Explain procedures to patients and discuss post-surgical care plans with them.
• Manage admission processes to preoperative department and ensure patient identification accuracy.
• Assess patient health pre-op, ensure consent documents are in order, and record vital signs.
