Job summary
Edward Elmhurst Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator – Department Based in Evanston, IL. This full-time split role supports staff development and unit staffing, with an RN component on the 4 South Searle unit.
The educator role pairs clinical teaching with hands-on patient care to elevate nursing practice. Qualified candidates will have a nursing degree and IL licensure, plus 5+ years of clinical experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing required or Diploma in Nursing with Bachelor’s Degree in Health-Related Field.
- Current Professional Nursing Licensure in Illinois; current specialty certification if applicable; ACLS/BLS/PALS/Neonatal Resuscitation as role requires.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care.
- Serve as clinical mentor and role model for staff.
- Collaborate with Clinical Manager to assess education needs.
- Lead onboarding and unit-based in-services for new products and procedures.
- Support specialty certification preparation and staff development.
