St. Francis–Emory Healthcare in Columbus, GA seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical/Surgical unit to provide safe, compassionate care using the nursing process in an acute care hospital.

You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, perform assessments, manage medications, document care, support patients and families, and help with discharge planning while upholding standards and patient safety. This role requires familiarity with EMR and infection control, with BSN preferred.

Competenze

• Associate degree in Nursing is required; BSN preferred.
• Current state RN license or compact state equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS and CPI per facility policy.
• Specialty certification (e.g., RN-BC, CMSRN) preferred.
• Minimum 6 months Medical/Surgical nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Demonstrates critical thinking, decision-making, and prioritization in fast-paced environments.

• Performs comprehensive assessments and reassessments to determine nursing care needs.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized plans of care.
• Administers medications and treatments per policy and physician orders.
• Documents assessments, interventions, outcomes, and patient education timely and accurately.

• Monitors patient conditions and communicates significant changes to the care team.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team for care coordination, discharge planning, and referrals.

• Supervises and delegates tasks appropriately to licensed and unlicensed staff.
