Job summary

St. Francis–Emory Healthcare in Columbus, GA, seeks an RN – Medical/Surgical to deliver safe, compassionate patient care in an acute care setting.

You will use the nursing process with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes and comply with professional standards and policy. Requirements include an Associate degree in Nursing; Georgia RN license; BLS and ACLS; CPI; and at least 6 months Med/Surg experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Assess and reassess nursing needs.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care.
• Administer medications and treatments per policy and orders.
• Document assessments, interventions, outcomes, and education.
• Provide ADLs, hygiene, nutrition, and mobility support.
• Monitor conditions and communicate changes to the team.
• Coordinate care, discharge planning, and referrals.
• Provide emotional and psychosocial support.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive assessments and reassessments to determine nursing care needs
• Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized plans of care
• Administers medications and treatments in accordance with policy and physician orders
• Documents assessments, interventions, outcomes, and patient education timely and accurately
• Provides direct care including ADLs, hygiene, nutrition, and mobility support
• Monitors patient conditions and communicates significant changes to the care team
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team for care coordination, discharge planning, and referrals
• Provides emotional and psychosocial support to patients and families
