Job summary

Peterson Health, an independent not-for-profit hospital in Kerrville, Texas, is hiring full-time Med/Surg RNs for day and night shifts. 12-hour shifts, 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus for qualifying full-time nurses. You will assess patients, plan and coordinate care, supervise support staff, and document outcomes.

Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and Texas RN license with BLS; ACLS/PALS preferred. BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• BSN preferred
• Unrestricted Texas license as a Registered Nurse and BLS
• ACLS and PALS preferred
• Eligibility to participate in a new RN Preceptorship program
• Six to twelve months of inpatient medical-surgical experience

Responsibilities

• Assess the needs of each patient on the unit and plan the nursing care to meet those needs.
• Lead and supervise subordinate personnel to ensure plan of care is carried out.
• Evaluate patients’ response to care through verbal and written documentation
