Job summary

AdventHealth in Parker, Colorado is seeking a registered nurse for Med-Surg to evaluate, plan, and deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, educate patients and families, and document care plans and outcomes while adhering to policy, quality and safety standards.

This role offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates and opportunities to grow salary up to 20% via the Clinical Ladder program based on experience

Qualifications

• RN license is required.
• Minimum 1 year of Med Surg experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• English fluency required.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient’s physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and update as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Document patient information, care activities, and outcomes in the medical record.
• Evaluate and adjust care plans to improve patient health and outcomes.
• Adhere to infection control, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
