Under the Clinical Manager's direction you will lead by delegation, mentor new graduates, participate in quality improvement, collaborate with the care team and families, and fulfill potential charge‑nurse responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Licensure as Registered Nurse in Rhode Island
• Baccalaureate in Nursing preferred
• Knowledge and skills to provide care to patients across the life span

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care.
• Leads by delegating, supervising and participating in safe nursing care by ancillary personnel.
• Evaluates effectiveness of patient care and identifies improvement opportunities.
• Collaborates with healthcare team, patient, family and community services for discharge planning.
• Assesses and teaches based on patient and family needs.
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement and research activities.
• Uses resources to provide quality, cost-effective patient care.
• Meets credentialing standards and completes BLS and ACLS/PALS as appropriate.
• Serves as a preceptor to new graduates and assumes charge nurse responsibilities as delegated.
