Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shift at Rhode Island Hospital. Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Manager, you will implement, supervise and evaluate nursing care for patients using a nursing process from admission to discharge.

Responsibilities include delegating to staff, collaborating with the team, teaching patients and families, participating in quality improvement and maintaining standard credentialing such as BLS/ACLS/PALS as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Must hold Rhode Island RN license.
• Baccalaureate in Nursing preferred.
• Experience in hospital patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and leadership by delegating to staff.
• Evaluates care effectiveness and identifies improvement opportunities.
• Collaborates with care team, patient, family and community services.
• Provides teaching based on patient and family needs.
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement and research activities.
• Maintains credentialing standards and safety education.
• Acts as a role model/preceptor to new graduates and staff.
• Assumes charge nurse responsibilities as delegated.
