Job summary

Jobot is seeking an RN for Med-Surg in Texas to deliver compassionate, high-impact patient care on a dedicated team. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, admit and monitor patients, deliver medications and IV therapies, and educate patients for post-discharge outcomes.

The role requires an active Texas RN license (or compact state), ADN or BSN, and current BLS; ACLS preferred, with 1–2 years of acute care experience. 12-hour shifts, days/nights/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas (or Compact state).
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN).
• Current BLS; ACLS preferred.
• 1–2 years of acute care or Med-Surg experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans for adult Med-Surg patients.
• Admit and monitor patients including vital signs and post-surgical recovery.
• Administer medications and IV therapies and manage medical equipment safely.
• Provide direct bedside care, wound care, pain management and patient education.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for coordinated care.
• Document progress and maintain standards compliance.
• Support pre- and post-operative care and ensure patient safety.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and participate in quality initiatives.

• Administer medications, treatments, IV therapies, and manage medical equipment safely
• Provide direct bedside care, wound care, pain management, and patient education
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and specialists for coordinated care
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain compliance with all standards
• Support pre- and post-operative care while ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Respond to changes in patient condition and participate in unit-based quality initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas (or compact state eligibility)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
• Minimum 1-2 years of acute care or Med-Surg nursing experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including days/nights/weekends as needed

Salary

$27 - $46 per hour
