Job summary

Jobot is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Med-Surg Flex Unit in Raleigh, NC. This on-site, permanent role offers a supportive team and structured self-scheduling with three 12-hour shifts per week.

You will care for general medical and surgical overflow patients, collaborate with a wide Interdisciplinary team, and participate in ongoing education and quality initiatives. Incentives include relocation support and loan forgiveness options.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide nursing care for general medical patients and surgical overflow populations.
• Assess patients, identify priorities, and develop individualized plans of care.
• Care for patients with complex medical, postoperative, psychosocial, educational, and discharge-planning needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing teammates, therapists, case management, and other interdisciplinary resources.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans, medications, recovery, and discharge needs.
• Participate in unit education, performance improvement, and evidence-based nursing initiatives.

A bit about us:

We are hiring a Registered Nurse for a Med-Surg Flex Unit within a major North Carolina health system. This is direct hire not contract work.

The unit provides care for a broad mix of general medical patients and surgical overflow, including Neuro Spine, Urology, ENT, General Surgery, and other postoperative populations. That variety gives nurses the opportunity to strengthen their clinical judgment and develop experience across several specialties without having to leave the unit.

A flex unit should expand your skills—not make every shift feel like organized chaos. Nurses here have established staffing ratios, CNA support, online self-scheduling, continuing education, and access to a large interdisciplinary team.
