Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse in New Jersey to provide direct patient care within an interdisciplinary team. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care, coordinate with physicians and staff, and educate patients and families on care plans.

This role emphasizes safety, evidence-based practice, and timely documentation. The position requires NJ nursing licensure, BLS/CPR, and experience or Nurse Residency eligibility.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• Six months of nursing experience or active Nurse Residency with Hackensack Meridian Health.
• Telemetry and ACLS certifications preferred; national certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based nursing care and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient data to achieve outcomes.
• Coordinate care and communication with physicians, peers and support services.
• Provide patient/family education and ensure understanding of plans.
• Document care, administer medications with barcode systems, and monitor safety.
• Assist with safe patient discharges and transitions of care.
