Job summary

Our Lady of Lourdes Health seeks an experienced Nursing Professional Development Generalist to plan and deliver education for staff, ensuring competency and quality care. The role focuses on developing education programs, validating learning outcomes, and maintaining accreditation documentation.

The successful candidate will design training using behavioral objectives, create lesson plans, and implement testing methodologies, while promoting a positive learning environment and interdepartmental

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of four (4) years of bedside patient care in an acute care Medical-Surgical hospital.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing; Master's degree preferred.
• Special Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, organizational, time‑management and public speaking; proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Educates and trains new and current staff to perform their duties.
• Develops continuing education and training programs to improve quality of care.
• Plans and coordinates training using adult learning principles and testing methods.
• Creates behavioral objectives, lesson plans, tools, and evaluation methods for orientation and annual competencies.
• Maintains documentation of educational records to support accreditation as a provider of continuing education.
• Evaluates competency-based performance and promotes ongoing professional development.
