Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an experienced nurse leader to support staff development and drive department goals while maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality care.

You will collaborate with nursing leadership to recruit, evaluate, and mentor staff, ensure optimal staffing levels, and actively participate in performance improvement and service recovery initiatives across the unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.
• Licensed RN in state of practice. CPR certification required within 90 days.
• ACLS, PALS, PEARS, NRP as unit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor staff; participate in staff selection, evaluation, orientation, and competency reviews.
• Ensure staffing aligns with patient acuity and budget targets.
• Partner with Manager/Clinical Leader to uphold goals and professional standards.
• Drive patient safety, quality care, service excellence, and patient experience improvements.
