Corewell Health at Lakeland Hospital Niles in Ohio is seeking a part-time Nursing Technician to support the Med Surg Care Unit A. The role provides direct patient care under RN/Provider supervision, documents care, and ensures safety and privacy for patients and staff.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with BLS/ARC certification within 90 days of hire, and offers night shift from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. with 24 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• ARC or AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Collects and reports physiological, psychological, sociocultural and spiritual needs of patients and families in coordination with and as delineated by the RN or Provider.
• Provides direct patient care under the direction of the RN or Provider, consistent with clinical policies and procedures, and department standard work.
• Articulates the nursing technician role to the patient, family and health team members.
• Cleans patient’s environment / work area / equipment and communicates any equipment malfunctions to appropriate department / unit personnel.
• Demonstrates a high standard of moral and ethical behavior. Advocates for privacy, confidentiality and security of patient, staff and organization data.

Education
