Job summary

Corewell Health’s Lakeland Hospital St Joseph is seeking a Nursing Technician for night shifts on a part-time basis. You will collect and report patients' needs, support the care team under RN direction, and help maintain a safe, clean environment while protecting patient privacy.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, teamwork, and adherence to clinical policies. Night shift hours are 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with 24 weekly hours and weekends on a rotating basis.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• ARC or AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collects and reports physiological, psychological, sociocultural and spiritual needs of patients and families in coordination with RN or Provider and ensures documentation is accurate and timely.
• Provides direct patient care under the direction of the RN or Provider, contributes to a plan of care and ensures documentation is accurate and timely.
• Articulates the nursing technician role to patients, families and health team, supporting safe, quality patient care.
• Cleans patient environment, work area, and equipment, reporting malfunctions to appropriate staff.
• Demonstrates ethical behavior and protects patient, staff and organization data privacy and security.

Education
