Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Nursing Supervisor for the Medical/Surgical unit in Lewiston, ME. This full-time night-shift role involves administrative oversight, staff development, and collaboration with the unit Director and Manager to ensure quality patient care.

The position requires an active RN license, BSN preferred, BLS and ACLS on hire, and at least 2 years of clinical nursing experience with supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS certification upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification upon hire and maintained.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory/leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides administrative responsibility for department service functions and collaborates with the unit Director/Manager.
• Assists in daily operations, directing, supervising and evaluating personnel.
• Directs proper use of time, equipment and staff; ensures efficient department function.
• Performs direct patient care as needed within scope of practice.
• Continually assess care and direct staff to adjust plan of care as needed.
