Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME seeks an experienced Clinical Nursing Supervisor for the OB/Oncology unit to oversee nursing staff during night shifts. The role includes administrative oversight and direct patient care as needed.

Qualifications include an active RN license, BSN preferred, BLS and ACLS on hire, and at least 2 years of nursing with 1 year in supervision. Sign-on bonus is available and CMH offers competitive benefits and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support certificate (BLS) upon hire and maintain current.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports administrative responsibility for the department service functions and works collaboratively with the unit Director and/or Manager.
• Develops and implements department plans, including performance improvement activities and compliance with current federal and/or state regulations.
• Prepares, conducts and/or oversees department orientation and training of personnel.
• Communicates with staff, physicians, and administration both written and verbally.
• Responsible for the quality of staff and functions during their shift.
• Assists the Department Director in daily operations of the unit, directing, supervising, and evaluating personnel.
• Performs direct patient care, only as needed, within the scope of practice.
