Job summary

St. Francis Medical Center in Los Angeles is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join the Med/Surg team on the night shift.

You will assist with activities of daily living, support basic nursing care, and help maintain a safe environment under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. Ideal candidates have a current CNA certificate, current BLS, knowledge of medical terminology, and at least six months of acute care experience in a hospital or physician's office.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire.
• Current BLS upon hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred.

Responsibilities

• The CNA in the Med/Surg Department is a certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
