Job summary

Memorial Physician Practices is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Med Surg PRN duties. You will provide direct patient care under supervision of a registered nurse, requiring critical thinking and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include Tennessee LPN license (or compact state), BLS within 90 days, PEARS within 6 months, IV competency preferred, and one year of nursing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Tennessee LPN license or a compact state LPN license with graduation from a Practical Nursing program.
• BLS within 90 days of hire; PEARS within 6 months of hire; IV Competency preferred with intent to obtain within 1 year; Handle With Care preferred.
• One-year nursing experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently in a stressful environment.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Medical Surgical (Med Surg) PRN

Job Type: PRN | Day

Schedule: 2x12 per 6 weeks; 7a-7p; 2 weekends per quarter; 1 major and minor holiday per year

About the Role

As a Med Surg LPN you will provide direct patient care in a supervised and delegated environment under a registered nurse. This role requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice, as supervised and delegated by a registered nurse.

Qualifications

• Current Tennessee LPN license or a compact state LPN license with graduation from a Practical Nursing program.
• Must hold the following certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire; Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition & Stabilization (PEARS) within 6 months of hire; I.V. Competency preferred with intent to obtain within 1 year of hire; Handle With Care (HWC) preferred.
• One-year nursing experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently in a stressful environment.
