Qualifications

• Licensed to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts.
• 1+ years of RN experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS may be required in certain units.
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN; ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
• Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty; certification may be required for some areas.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical ability to perform job; basic computer proficiency.
• Fluency in another language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the Medical Surgical units, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and education.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMCHS nursing organization.
• Assist the leadership team in quality improvement projects.
