Job summary

HCA Healthcare's TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville is seeking an Acute Care Resource Nurse to join the Med Surg Float Pool. You will provide direct patient care across six medical and surgical floors, collaborating with the nurse team to maintain high-quality outcomes.

You will assess patient needs, administer medications, monitor status, and educate patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary planning approach.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensed in Tennessee.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to float between six Medical and Surgical floors.

Responsibilities

• Assess plans and evaluate patient care needs; carry out physician orders.
• Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, monitor vital signs.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition using computerized documentation systems.
• Instruct and educate patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary care planning team.
