Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee, is seeking a Med Surg Clinical Nurse Coordinator to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all nursing functions during the shift.

You will lead a nursing team, collaborate with management, monitor care quality, assist with admissions/discharges, staff scheduling, training and performance evaluations, and support inventory control to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with current licensure.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates admission and discharge processes to support efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Monitors quality of patient care and collaborates with the management team.
• Leads staffing, scheduling and staff development activities.
• Supports inventory control and supplies management to ensure unit readiness.
• Provides recommendations on training, evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed to improve performance.
• Acts as a resource for staff and aligns nursing practices with organizational policies.

Education

Registered Nurse licensure
