Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center, part of Parkridge Health System, is seeking an RN for Med Surg Oncology in Chattanooga, TN. You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team, following established nursing models and standards of practice.

You will assess patients on admission and each shift, perform procedures and medication administration, and educate patients and families about their condition, treatment plan, and follow-up.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date
• RN licensure is required to practice
• Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient’s condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting changes.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider, and document care in the medical record; administer medications and monitor response.
• Provide timely responsiveness to patient requests and educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures.
