Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN is seeking an Acute Care Med Surg Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care within the Med Surg unit. You will collaborate with the care team to implement care plans, monitor patient progress, and maintain accurate documentation.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, timely escalation of changes, and education for patients and families to ensure understanding of treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes.
• Administer medications, monitor responses, and document care in medical records.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and respond promptly to patient needs.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up.
