Wayne County Hospital in Monticello, KY is seeking a full-time Medical-Surgical staff member to provide indirect patient care, assist with family and staff communication, and maintain unit records. The role may require day shifts with possible nights to ensure shift coverage.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and current BCLS certification (can be obtained after hire). Strong communication, basic computer skills, and knowledge of medical terminology are preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current BCLS certification or ability to obtain after hire.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Basic computer knowledge; medical terminology preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Provides indirect patient care in the medical surgical setting.
• Meets the communication needs of the patient/family and staff.
• Prepares and compiles records in the Medical Surgical Unit.
• Initiates directions from physician and nursing staff; participates in performance improvement activities.
• Maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies and procedures.
