Tenet Desert is seeking a Med Surg Charge Nurse (RN) for a night shift nursing role in Palm Springs, California. The position emphasizes leadership of the Med Surg/Ortho Spine unit and hands-on clinical direction for staff.

The Charge Nurse will oversee shift operations, coaching and evaluating staff, and ensuring patient safety and care standards are met consistent with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Current California RN License.
• Associates Degree in Nursing or Advanced.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Minimum of 3 years clinical experience.
• Demonstrated clinical competence and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to present self in positive and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day shift operations in the Med Surg/Ortho Spine unit.
• Manage staffing, scheduling and payroll-related activities.
• Ensure timely completion of performance evaluations and HR documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, staff and management to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and safety programs.
