Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) is a private, nonprofit community-based healthcare system serving a 22-county region. This role supports Medical Laboratory personnel and the Laboratory Information System to ensure quality patient care and regulatory compliance in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Creates an optimal environment for Medical Laboratory personnel to provide quality patient care.
• Assists in implementing and maintaining the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Provides technology, supplies, policies and procedures for quality work.
• Serves as interface with administration and clients.
• Assists the Section Head in assuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science or medical laboratory technology

State of Florida technician license in microbiology, serology, clinical chemistry, and hematology

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

Creates an optimal environment for the Medical Laboratory personnel to provide quality patient care. Serves as Assistant to the Laboratory Information System Manager. Assists in all aspects of implementing and maintaining the Laboratory Information system. Provides the technology, supplies, policies and procedures for quality work. Serves as an interface with administration and clients. Assists the Section Head in assuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements set forth by TMH, TJC and CAP. A120
