Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is seeking a Laboratory Technologist to perform a full range of waived, moderate, and high-complexity testing, ensuring timely and accurate results for diagnosis and patient care. This role supports pathologists and physicians in a busy clinical laboratory.

Required education and Florida licensure are specified; no prior experience required. This position offers the opportunity to join a renowned regional health system with comprehensive patient care programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
• Licensed by the Florida Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist with added specialties in clinical chemistry, and/or hematology, and/or microbiology, and/or serology.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs a full range of waived, moderate, and high-complexity testing; reports results.
• Confirms test results’ accuracy and precision.
• Reports laboratory findings to the pathologist and other physicians on a timely basis.
• Utilizes a complete understanding of testing procedures and theoretical knowledge to interpret results and troubleshoot problems encountered during testing.

• Licensed by the Florida Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in accordance with Florida Statutes (FS), Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 483 (Health Testing Services), Part I (Clinical Laboratory Personnel) with added specialties in clinical chemistry, and/or hematology, and/or microbiology, and/or serology.
