Job summary

Eventide Crete Senior Living in Crete, NE is seeking an Universal Worker II (Med Aide) to work PRN/as needed with a weekend/holiday rotation. The role includes assisting residents with ADLs, meals, and daily activities, while following care plans and HIPAA guidelines.

Ideal candidates will have CNA and MA-40 certifications (CPR if MA-40), 6 months of caregiving experience, and High School diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English including medical terminology.
• CNA and MA-40 certification in good standing; CPR if MA-40 is used.
• Minimum 6 months experience as an aide or caregiver preferred.
• Vaccination requirements must be met per Eventide policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transfers, continence).
• Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers, and orientation of new employees.
• Follow department protocol for documentation submission.
• Prioritize and adjust assignments during shift to meet changing needs and call lights.
• Follow the comprehensive care plan/service plan for each resident.
• Maintain HIPAA privacy and safeguard PHI at all times.
• Prepare, plate and serve meals and snacks for residents.
• Assist with dining area cleanup, housekeeping and laundry as needed.
• If MA40 is used, prepare and administer medications under RN direction; evaluate emergencies and perform CPR when needed.
