Apply now!Duties for this position include:• Provide electrical and technical support in a continuously operating manufacturing facility producing Tier 1 automotive parts.• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair custom electro-mechanical equipment, automated work cells, vision systems, and multi-axis robotics.• Troubleshoot and debug PLC programs with varying levels of complexity.• Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic circuits to minimize equipment downtime.• Troubleshoot and maintain adjustable-speed AC and DC drives and motors.• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.• Support extrusion lines, injection molding machines, automated secondary equipment, power punch presses, and other industrial equipment.• Perform preventive maintenance on plant systems and production equipment.• Assist with new equipment installation and startup activities as needed.• Complete technical activities that support new and improved production processes.• Respond quickly to equipment issues and complete repairs or component replacements to maximize production uptime.• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and follow all plant safety procedures.• Work independently, make sound decisions, and recognize when additional support is needed.• Communicate effectively with team members and employees at all levels of the organization.• Perform other duties as assigned.Compensation (USD):$28.00 - $40.00/hour, depending on experience.Schedule:1st ShiftMonday - Friday6:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.2nd ShiftMonday - Friday2:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.3rd ShiftMonday - Friday10:30 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:• High school diploma or GED required.• 2-year technical degree required.• 1-3 years of relevant industrial or manufacturing experience.• Demonstrated experience with electrical and electro-mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment.• Strong troubleshooting skills with electrical, electronic, mechanical, and automated equipment.• Working knowledge of PLC systems and programming.• Knowledge of AC/DC drives and motors.• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.• Strong computer and technical literacy.• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently use hands, reach, talk, and hear.• Ability to frequently lift 30+ pounds.• Ability to work safely around machinery with moving parts and occasional manufacturing fumes.• Steel-toed shoes required and provided by the employee.• Safety glasses required and provided by the client.• Earplugs and other assigned PPE must be worn as required in designated manufacturing areas.WHY APPLY FOR A JOB AT METRO SERVICESIf you're ready to take hold of your career, we can help you start down the right path, and we'll be with you the whole way.
