Metro Services in Smithville, TN is seeking to immediately fill Sander positions for a manufacturing company. The role is a Temp/Temp-to-Hire/Direct Hire position with varying 8-, 10-, or 12-hour days depending on workload. Schedule: Mon-Thu 5:00 a.m.

– 5:30 p.m.; Fri 5:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.; compensation is $13.50/hour USD. Duties include sanding wood parts for cabinetry, using hand tools, preparing surfaces, inspecting finished pieces, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace in a woodworking

Qualifications

• Previous woodworking, sanding, cabinetry, or manufacturing experience is helpful but not required.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools and sanding equipment.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and handle materials ranging from 1 to 50 lbs.; heavier items may require assistance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify imperfections in wood surfaces.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain quality standards.
