Job summary

Amazon is hiring a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems across the building. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment and mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles.

The role requires working with MHE, pneumatic systems, and robotic/automation systems, with shift flexibility and a focus on safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma required.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products experience.
• Flexible schedule including weekends/nights/holidays.
• 2+ years of automated conveyor systems and controls experience or completion of Amazon's Mechatronics & Robotics Apprenticeship Program.
• 2+ years of preventive and predictive maintenance experience.
• 2+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
• 2+ years of safety standards experience.
• 2+ years of troubleshooting material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following safety procedures.
• Complete preventive maintenance routines with proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
• Maintain positive working relationships across Amazon Operations facilities.
• Move up to 49 lbs, stand/walk up to 12 hours, climb ladders and gangways safely, and perform bending, lifting, and reaching as needed.
