Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems across the building. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment and mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles.

The role emphasizes safe working practices, preventative maintenance, and root cause analysis to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Certification from Amazon's Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship Program, or 2+ years of automated conveyor systems and controls experience.
• 2+ years of conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures experience.
• 2+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics experience.
• 2+ years of demonstrating safety standards experience.
• 2+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE experience.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to MHE (belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, etc.).
• Maintain positive working relationships across all Amazon Operations facilities.
• Move up to 49 lbs, stand for long shifts, climb ladders, bend and reach as required.
