Job summary

Amazon in Texas is seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to support the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment while mentoring junior technicians to grow in their roles.

The role emphasizes safety, hands-on repair, and continuous improvement across facilities.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• 1+ year of MS Office experience.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• 2+ years of predictive and preventative maintenance experience.
• 2+ years reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
• 2+ years demonstrating safety standards experience.
• 2+ years troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment (MHE).
• 2+ years of automated conveyor systems and controls experience, or certification from Amazon's Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship Program.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to MHE including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more.
• Maintain a positive working relationship across all Amazon Operations facilities.
• Move up to 49lbs and stand/walk for shifts up to 12 hours; climb ladders and gangways, bend, lift, stretch.
• Shift assignment cannot be guaranteed due to operational requirements.
