Job summary

JLL is seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician in Burton, MI to support the Operations Maintenance team. You will repair and maintain material handling equipment, automated packaging systems, and pneumatic components in a fast-paced distribution environment.

You will troubleshoot complex automated systems, install and service conveyors, and document maintenance activities in CMMS. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and mentoring junior technicians while rotating 2nd shift schedules and

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
2+ years repairing material handling equipment in industrial or distribution environments.
2+ years of predictive and preventative maintenance with proper documentation.
Able to work flexible shifts including weekends, nights and holidays.
Physically able to lift parts and tools up to 49 pounds; stand and walk long shifts; bend, kneel, twist and reach in cramped spaces.

Responsibilities

Promote a safe working environment following all safety procedures and PPE requirements per OEM and safety standards.
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on automated packaging, distribution equipment, and conveyors with CMMS documentation.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to MHE including belts, motors, sensors, relays, pneumatics, and robotics.
Install, maintain, and repair automated conveyor systems and controls using blueprints and electrical schematics.
Maintain relationships across Operations departments and track inventory and tools for the maintenance team.
Work 10–12 hour shifts with lifting up to 49 pounds and travel up to 20% as needed.
