Job summary

Amazon in Commerce City, CO is seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to support the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems across the building. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment, and mentoring junior technicians.

The position emphasizes safety, hands-on maintenance, and career development within a fast-paced Amazon facility.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights and holidays.
• 2+ years reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
• 2+ years troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment (MHE).
• 2+ years of predictive and preventative maintenance procedures experience.
• Certification from Amazon's Mechatronics & Robotics Apprenticeship Program, or 2+ years of automated conveyor systems and controls experience.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
• Maintain a positive working relationship across all of the Amazon Operations facility.
• Move up to 49 lbs, stand and walk during shifts up to 12 hours, climb ladders and gangways safely, and perform regular bending/reaching.
