Job summary

IFA Powertrain Polska North America is seeking a Mechatronics Repair Technician for the 1st shift in Summerville, SC. You will maintain and repair complex production machinery, diagnose PLC & CNC Siemens systems, and interpret drawings to support preventive and predictive maintenance.

Ideal candidates have AS Mechatronics or journeyman machine repair certification, PLC experience, and ability to read schematics. Familiarity with welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and German language is a plus.

Qualifications

Certified as licensed or journeyman machine repairman or equivalent.
Experience with PLC and schematics.
Familiar with local machinery codes and standards.
Basic math and geometry knowledge.

Responsibilities

Complete repairs on mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.
Diagnose and correct problems with PLC & CNC (Siemens) controlled machinery.
Maintain and repair processes including welding, balancing and assembly machines.
Work with machine builders and colleagues from Germany.
Interpret and understand machine drawings and schematics.
Assist in development of PM plans.
Assist in management of spare parts inventories.
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance tasks as required.
Follow strict safety procedures including LOTO.
Use measurement equipment in daily duties.
