Job summary

Phillips Staffing in West Union, SC seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our client’s team on the 3rd shift. The role focuses on industrial electrical troubleshooting, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and maintaining CNC and PLC equipment.

You'll diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, use precision tools, and support building upkeep. The ideal candidate has an associate degree in Mechatronics or related field or equivalent experience, with willingness to work overtime

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial electrical troubleshooting is required.
• Practical knowledge of metal cutting and tooling and their fluids.
• General knowledge of HVAC and compressed air systems; operation of hydraulic/pneumatic Lubrication systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and fix issues with hydraulic, pneumatic, and oil/lube systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical wiring, PLCs, and CNC machinery.
• Work with bearing applications, metal cutting tools, and grinders/filtration equipment.
• Perform basic building maintenance, plumbing, and facility upkeep.
• Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, cylinder gauges, and dial indicators.

Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our client’s team located in West Union, SC. The ideal candidate will have industrial maintenance experience, with a strong background in electrical troubleshooting and repair.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix issues with hydraulic, pneumatic, and oil/lube systems.
• Electrical & CNC Systems: Maintain and troubleshoot electrical wiring, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and CNC machinery.
• Work with bearing applications, metal cutting tools, and specialized manufacturing equipment like grinders and filtration systems.
• Perform basic building maintenance, plumbing, and general facility upkeep.
• Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, cylinder gauges, and dial indicators.

Qualifications

• Must have industrial electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with metal cutting and tooling, cutting fluids and their use.
• General knowledge of heating, cooling and ventilation systems, and operation of compressed air systems.
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic and lubrication systems.
• Experience with PLC systems and nomenclature.
• Experience with the following, close tolerance measurement and part drawing interpretation.
• Able to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Associate's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering Technologies or a related filed or equivalent work experience with a minimum of High School Diploma or GED.

Pay: $28.19 – $29.80/hr. The starting rate is negotiable based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
