Job summary

Magna Mechatronics, Mirrors & Lighting is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and general maintenance on plant and production equipment. You will troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, diagnose malfunctions, and support continuous improvement initiatives for safety and efficiency.

You must have a high school diploma or GED, plus 3–5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience; an electrical/mechanical technician certificate is preferred.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, update, and work on all equipment in designated area of responsibility.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and how to apply them to the job.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills to work in a team environment.
• Experience with mechanical or electrical troubleshooting and repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and general maintenance on plant and production equipment on a routine and emergency basis.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic problems on machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and comply with safety policies.
• Diagnose malfunctions in machinery and equipment; perform safety audits.
• Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders; ensure environmental policies are followed.
• Maintain PM records and work orders; manage parts and supply inventory in MRO area.
• Direct contractors and ensure safety procedures are followed; assist with changes to improve efficiency.
