Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline with a minimum of 3 years of related experience; or a Master’s degree with a minimum 1 year related experience or PhD in similar disciplines.
• Experience with spacecraft or instrument mechatronics development and/or mechanical hardware design, fabrication, integration, and test.
• Knowledge and experience translating design and performance requirements into electro-mechanical hardware configurations and development plans.
• Experience with task planning, managing schedules and deliverables, and meeting commitments.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanisms, materials, and electronics for current and future JPL missions.
• Support mechanical hardware development for payloads, instruments, and spacecraft across all mission phases.
