Job summary

Nielsen-Kellerman (NK) seeks a Mechatronics Engineer to lead the engineering of manufacturing test systems and assembly equipment. You will design circuits, build PCBAs, create instrument control software, and develop test processes across projects from development to sustainment.

Responsibilities include cross‑functional collaboration, documentation, and ongoing process improvement, with a focus on reliability and global standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering
• Ability to read schematics and determine test methods; circuit design experience a plus
• Minimum of 3 years in hands‑on engineering roles
• Strong electrical and mechanical fundamentals
• Proficiency with electrical instrumentation (DMM, oscilloscope, PSU) and lab documentation

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain integrated systems for production steps and automated processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance electro‑mechanical systems for new products
• Create and maintain PCBAs and electronic panels for manufacturing equipment
• Create instrument control programs for equipment and test systems
• Provide documentation: drawings, BOMs, test specs, lab reports, construction files
• Troubleshoot integrated systems and resolve issues
