Job summary

Hensley Industries, located in the Town of Texas, Wisconsin, is seeking a Mechatronic Engineer to create and revise 3-D models and engineering designs. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering and 2+ years of relevant experience, including control systems, back-end programming, and AI implementation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in 3-D design and solid modeling.
  • Experience with electrical component selection and integration.
  • Experience designing and evaluating control systems.
  • Proficiency in back-end programming (Python, C++, C).
  • Familiarity with AI and Machine Learning implementation.
  • Experience in customizing engineering calculations and circuit analysis.
  • Ability to travel in the US and abroad as needed.

  • Research and develop new electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Assist in inspection of first article samples.

We are seeking a strong-willed and results-driven Mechatronic Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Design/create 3-D models & engineering drawings for new gauge requests.
  • Revise 3D models and engineering drawings for existing gauges
  • Research, develop new electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Assist in first article samples inspection, make correction & request changes.
  • Assist in resolving product related customer complaints.
  • Provide technical data to QC / QA Dept. for inspection purposes & to Sales for marketing purposes.
  • Design of Experiment planning and implementation.
  • Design, prototype, evaluate and implement interfaces for sensor, controllers, actuators, and communication technologies.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Must be willing to learn and comply with the Komatsu Worldwide Code of Business Conduct, KAC Code of Conduct, Hensley Environmental Policies, Hensley Safety Policies and Hensley Quality Policies.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering or equal / similar.
  • 2+ years of recent experience in 3-D design, solid modeling, and assemblies.
  • 2+ year experience with electrical component selection/integration.
  • 2+ years of recent experience designing, prototyping, and evaluating control systems.
  • 3+ years with back-end/embedded programming using languages such as python, C++, or C.
  • 2+ years of recent experience with Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning implementation.
  • 2+ years of experience designing and implementing automation processes is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience customizing engineering calculations, circuit analysis, and simulations is preferred.
  • Ability to travel in the US and to foreign countries on occasion.
  • Experience in new product development process and revising existing product.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry such welding, soldering, etc.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong technical and personal communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a multi-disciplined team.
