Job summary

Roane State Community College seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach Mechatronics courses at Clinton Facility, Harriman Campus and potentially area high schools. The role includes introductory and advanced classes, with PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, and robotics topics.

The candidate should hold a bachelor’s or higher in an engineering field (or an equivalent experienced associate) and support Siemens/Allen-Bradley PLC-aligned curricula and certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Mechatronics or similar field; Associate degree with relevant experience acceptable.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work with diverse student groups.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach Mechatronics courses as outlined in syllabi.
• Teach both introductory and advanced classes including PLCs, hydraulics/pneumatics, statics/dynamics, robotics and automation.
