Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College Richmond Campus is seeking adjunct faculty for part-time positions to deliver hands-on instruction in industrial automation and controls, including PLC programming with Siemens and Allen-Bradley platforms, using common syllabi.

Responsibilities include delivering the course content, assessing students, maintaining records, and coordinating with the program chair to align with workforce development needs.

Qualifications

• Associate's or higher degree in industrial technology, electrical engineering technology, mechatronics, or a related field or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with PLC systems in manufacturing.
• Experience teaching PLC programming, electrical controls, and troubleshooting in a hands-on environment.
• Demonstrated experience with Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLC platforms.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instructional duties to teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes.
• Provide syllabus appropriate to course(s) and follow content requirements.
• Maintain attendance and grading records per policy and Adjunct Handbook.
• Design engaging activities aligned with industry standards and credentialing.
• Deliver hands-on training in industrial automation, PLC programming, troubleshooting and integration.
• Use industry-standard platforms such as Siemens and Allen-Bradley for instruction.
