Job summary

ZT Systems is seeking a Mechanical Validation Engineer to contribute to hardware validation of server platforms. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop and execute test plans, verify mechanical specifications, and assist in debugging and root-cause analysis.

The role involves collaborating across architecture, design, firmware, and system engineering, and supporting automation efforts for validation. A strong mechanical engineering foundation and some scripting ability are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Systems Engineering.
• 0-2+ years working knowledge in mechanically focused test or validation settings.
• Ability to aid in scripting for testing and debugging purposes.
• Ability to provide clear report findings.

Responsibilities

• Interface with architecture, design, platform, firmware, and system engineering processes.
• Aid in test specifications, requirements, strategies, and methodologies.
• Efficiently execute test plans to meet time-to-market requirements.
• Understand how systems work and identify defects and issues.
• Confidently describe test procedures and issues to internal and external stakeholders.
• Track and summarize test results and collaborate in automation efforts for validation.
