Description

• Design and develop tooling and fixtures used in plating processes, considering factors such as material compatibility and process requirements (e.g., masking, sanding, paint, demask).
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to understand plating project requirements and develop tooling solutions.
• Review current process techniques on long-standing products and identify and implement improvements to aids, tooling, and templates for greater consistency.
• Review customer specifications for new products to identify gaps between current practices and specification requirements.
• Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for tooling designs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
• Oversee the fabrication and assembly of tooling and fixtures, collaborating with external vendors or in-house teams to ensure timely delivery and quality.
• Support the maintenance team in the repair of existing tooling and fixtures to ensure their continued effectiveness.
• Coordinate with project team members to ensure success in meeting deadlines and product goals.
• Collaborate with quality control teams to conduct inspections and ensure tooling meets required specifications and quality standards.
• Perform document control of customer engineering.
• Other duties as assigned.
