Job summary

Graphcore is expanding its AI engineering campus in Austin, Texas, inviting a hands-on Mechanical and Thermal Laboratory Technician to support the development and validation of advanced AI hardware systems for data center environments. You will work with cross-functional engineers to execute test plans, operate shop equipment, and ensure calibration and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering tech or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in mechanical labs, test labs, or similar environments.
• Experience with server hardware and data center equipment.
• Knowledge of Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC) systems and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Execute mechanical and thermal test plans for hardware designs.
• Perform functional, thermal, and mechanical testing on servers.
• Support testing, debugging, and validation of hardware platforms.
• Operate CNC milling machines, drill presses, and fabrication tools.
• Maintain calibration of instruments and lab safety practices.
