Job summary

Raytheon in McKinney, TX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II onsite to develop, integrate, test, and maintain on-site factory test systems for EO/IR product testing. You will contribute to multidisciplinary engineering teams and help bring test equipment from concept through production.

You will typically work with mechanical, electrical and system engineers, handle cradle-to-grave STE projects, and troubleshoot hardware in a production environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with generating and updating mechanical models and drawings within an established Configuration Management framework (i.e. cPDM).
• Experience with manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Work within a team environment and interact with various engineering disciplines to develop test equipment solutions for a factory/production environment.
• Support cradle to grave efforts including requirements, design, integration, validation, verification, and maintenance of special test equipment (STE).
• Prioritize, handle, and lead multiple tasks in a production environment while clearly communicating status.
• Troubleshooting hardware in a test equipment development environment.
• Independently develop mechanical design packages and present for peer review.
• Communication with an engineering team, functional and program leadership.
