Job summary

ManpowerGroup in New York, NY is seeking a Mechanical Technician to join the Engineering Support team. You will perform hands-on modification, testing, and repair of machinery and equipment, contributing to project testing and equipment readiness.

The ideal candidate has an Associate's degree in engineering technology and up to 2 years in a corporate environment, with strong analytical and communication skills. This is an onsite role with a 12pm–9pm shift and a contract-to-hire path.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in engineering technology or related field required.
• 0-2 years experience in a corporate environment preferred.
• Basic ability to make sketches, engineering drawings, and common computations.
• Basic ability to perform detail calculations to establish manufacturing standards.
• Experience with computer applications and design software related to engineering.

Responsibilities

• Prepare parts sketches and write work orders for outside contractors.
• Draft detail drawings to support fabrication or parts procurement.
• Review project instructions and blueprints to confirm test specs and troubleshoot.
• Identify, modify, and plan fabrication, assembly, and testing requirements.
• Inspect drawings for clarity and evaluate tool designs against specifications.
